Student Enrollment

Prior to beginning the online registration process, parents of incoming students must contact the school their child attend to initiate the enrollment process.

Required documentation to be submitted to the student’s school of attendance prior to the student’s first day:

  1. Online Registration Form (use link below to fill out form)

  2. Immunization Records

  3. Birth Certificate

  4. Proof of Residency Documentation:

    • Rental Contract

    • Real Estate Contract

    • Utility Bill/Deposit Receipt

    • Other, such as payroll check, driver’s license, W-4, employment documents

Enrollment is not official until verified by the district and proof of residency is confirmed.  Children may only be registered by a parent or court appointed legal guardian.  According to state law, a child must be five years old before August 1 of the current school year to attend kindergarten.

The Strain-Japan School District utilizes the online parent portal, TeacherEase. Activate your account to track student progress, check attendance, view grades, and receive updates from the school. You can also adjust your communication preferences to ensure we know how to reach you. The goal is to transform education, improve student performance, and involve parents

TeacherEase, our online parent portal software, has an app designed for communicating with parents. Once installed, you can receive notifications about student progress, attendance, school closures, and behavior. Just like the current portal, you can view grades and email teachers. We think the app will increase transparency and improve student performance

An email will be sent that invites both students and parents to TeacherEase, providing them with a link to set up their accounts.
