Today, our 1st graders and the Strain Japan staff showered Ms. J with gifts as she prepares to begin her journey as a full-time educator. 🎉
Since the start of the school year, she has been an incredible student teacher in Mrs. Wilson’s 1st grade class, bringing joy, support, and so much heart to our school community.
We are going to miss having Ms. J with us each day, but we couldn’t be more proud of her. 💛

The Strain-Japan R-16 School District will have four Board Director openings for the April 7, 2026 election.
Three positions are for three-year terms
One position is for a two-year term
📍 Interested candidates may file at the school office:

December 9–17, 2025
⏰ 7:15 AM–3:00 PM (weekdays only)
❌ The office will be closed on weekends and December 18–January 6 for the holidays.
✔️ Special Filing Day:
We will be open Tuesday, December 30 from 3:00–5:00 PM for the final day of filing.
⚠️ In case of inclement weather: If school is closed, the office will also be closed.
