☀️🎌 From the staff at Strain Japan R-XVI, we wish all of our amazing students a fun, safe, and relaxing summer vacation! 🌸📚
Thank you for all your hard work, smiles, and dedication this school year. We are so proud of each and every one of you! ❤️
Enjoy your summer adventures, make wonderful memories, and come back refreshed and ready for another great year. 🌞✈️🍉

💙 Ending the Year with “The Last Day Blues” 💙
Our 2nd and 3rd graders wrapped up the school year by reading The Last Day Blues—a sweet reminder that it’s okay to feel both excited and a little sad as we head into summer.
To celebrate, students enjoyed some “Blues Juice” together, sharing laughs, memories, and all the feelings that come with the last days of school. While they’re excited for the next grade, they’ll definitely miss the friendships and moments that made this year so special.

🍋 Field Day with a Purpose! 🍋
Our 4th and 5th grade students recently took their cross-curricular learning to the next level by bringing their lemonade stand project to life! Divided into three teams, they planned, created, and ran their own stands during Field Day—putting their creativity, teamwork, and business skills into action.
Even more inspiring, ALL proceeds are being donated to a local charity, Children's Hospital! ❤️ Way to go Leopards!

This is what is happening in our state! The legislature is threatening to cut $207 million from public schools. For our district, this means $45,000. That is almost half of the revenue we plan to gain with our recent passage of Prop SOS! Meaning, we will not be able to fund higher salaries for our teachers. Engage with your Representative (Mike McGirl) and your Senator (Ben Brown)! Both of these gentlemen care about our little school. Let your voice be heard that defunding public education is not good for Missouri!
